Anna Villnäs

Research environment: marine

Taxonomic group of interest: crustaceans, molluscs

Field of research: biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, community ecology, disturbance ecology, functional ecology and food webs, population ecology

Anthropogenic impact under investigation: climate change, habitat modifications, invasive species, pollution (including from light and noise), population changes and species decline

I explore how structural and functional aspects of biodiversity relates to ecosystem functions and services, and how changes in the environment affect this relationship, using biological traits to estimate the role of benthic fauna for carbon and nutrient turnover in the coastal ecosystem.
