I am interested about dynamic plant processes and biodiversity under changing environment, with a special focus on northern forest trees and environmental stresses (such as greenhouse gases, water and temperature stress). My group combines ecophysiologically relevant field studies with novel research approaches, particularly metabolomics and novel imaging techniques. I am also active in developing international university networking and a member/representative in Finnish Nature Panel, European Plant Science Organisation and IUFRO. |
