Emily Knott

Research environment: freshwaters (including wetlands), marine

Taxonomic group of interest: bacteria and archaea, crustaceans, molluscs, others

Field of research: conservation biology, evolutionary ecology, phylogeny, population genetics

Anthropogenic impact under investigation: climate change

My research integrates methods from different fields of biology to clarify the mechanisms how the information of genes is translated into observable individual variation and their importance to adaptation and divergence. This research will help when predicting the potential responses of and constraints on organisms exposed to rapid environmental change.
