Research environment: forest, soil, urban
Taxonomic group of interest: bacteria and archaea, birds, fungi, insects, lichens, mammals
Field of research: biodiversity and ecosystem functioning, disturbance ecology, ecosystem services, human-nature relationships
Land use under investigation: drainage, forestry, urbanisation
Anthropogenic impact under investigation: climate change, habitat modifications, pollution (including from light and noise), population changes and species decline
I am a PhD researcher studying human-nature interactions in the context of urban greenspaces. I am also involved in projects studying the impacts of climate change and human induced disturbances on biodiversity, the impacts of and potential methods to remove microplastics from soils, as well as investigating new methods for treating urban storm water.
