I am doing by PhD in Kelo-project, in which I study the chemical composition of kelo trees and other dead Scots pine trees. The aim is to find how and why the decay-resistance varies in the dead Scots pine population so, that some kelos may stay standing for hundreds of years. I am interested in deadwood dynamics, forest biodiversity and continuity of vital boreal forest. Links of interest: https://www.kelokko.fi https://forets-froides.org/annuaire/gunther-mariina/ |
