Field of research: community ecology, human-nature relationships
Land use under investigation: urbanisation
I study the interplay between the environment, microbiota and human health. For instance, I am interested in the effects of urbanization on the microbiota in the surroundings of homes and the microbiota of the human residents, and the effects of the diversity and composition of the environmental and human microbiota on human health parameters. Currently, I am studying how the selected outdoor activities affect human microbiota. Background in biological sciences including community ecology, aquatic invertebrates and limnology.
